That's not a terribly heavy dog. If you can afford to do so, you should still err on the side of caution and have him seen I think.

How much did he throw up? Did it seem a lot?

Hopefully that's enough. It takes a couple hours for a dog to digest it, so you should probably figure what you want to do if anything.

IIRC he has to eat his weight in chocolate for it to be positive he will die from poisoning.

Don't take this on my word. If you're having any doubts go to vet.

Yeah go to the vet. My mom had this adopted dog that hopped a gate in our house and devoured this chocolate cake she made for my birthday, like jumped on the table and pawed the lid off the container to get to it. We came home and saw the cake 3/4ths eaten and rushed her to the emergency vet. They pumped her stomach and brought the puke out in a big basin with a candle on it and said "Happy birthday!" It was pretty hilarious.

But yeah they said we did the right thing, she would have probably died if we didn't.

A chocolate bar isn't six brownies.

The dog is puking all over the place, which means it probably isn't going to die of theobromine poisoning.
However, a dog puking all over the place is itself a good reason to go see a vet.

That's good. It should be a reminder to keep open food away from dogs. Don't turn your back on them for even a minute.
