So after watching a few mouse trap videos I have come to the conclusion they are some of the worst traps you can use as they are not child and pet friendly, give a rat/mouse a slow painful death (or at least make it stressed beyond relief) and are just horrible things to use.

Yes, it's the most cruel method, outside of snap traps sometimes getting an arm or a nose or something, and the rat/mouse suffers before dying also. Regardless though, they are just rodents. I usually get the occasional field mouse in my home as it's an older property and I farm and have a lot of crops on my property, but the cats make quick work of them so setting traps isn't necessary.

Ive recently had a mouse problem, fuck glue traps. The best trap is the classical break their necks instantly.

No traps should not be outlawed, mice and other rodents can rapidly procreate. Much faster than we could ever hope to kill them. They are one of the few creatures that will only go extinct due to planetary devastation.
