How did I not know of this, was there no hype discussion beforehand? I mean they even use the word mutant. I haven't heard that word in so long (admittedly it is kinda racist, or at least has racist connotations)

But the point is they actually name throw comic terms around like xmen and brotherhood and whatnot. This is an honest to god xmen show.

I'm so used to certain shows (ie the marvel ones) dancing around using comic terms by saying "the big green guy" or "the flag waver" and whatnot that it's really refreshing to hear the actual comic book terms being embraced again.

I only watched the 2nd episode So far. I liked it. Like having Blink and Lorna was enough for me. I wonder if other X-Factor or other X-Men characters will appear. Like Cindee, Mindee, Phoebe, Eva, Guido, and Jaime . These characters would be perfect additions once season1 is established.

Fox owns X-Men. That's why you don't hear it or the word mutants in any of the MCU stuff. Also probably why you never heard of this show existing, because Disney wants it to fail.

there was hype. at least I thought there was. maybe you just had to watch Fox owned channels on tv to see the ads. but I thought people were excited about the show. and yea, they use mutant and xmen in the ads even before the first episode aired.

It's not just marvel, using the word mutant to describe and individual with powers in any movie or tv show falls under that umbrella, in which fox can sue for it.

And I'm glad to see Amy Acker in one of these shows. I was disappointed when they didn't use her more in Agents of Shield so glad she made it into a superhero show even if it's not Whedon I don't mind. I always liked her.

It has some creepy imagery due to the villain of the season who's name is in that link.
I find it funny that you describe something like that as "gross out stuff" when you seem perfectly fine watching a show where a boy masturbates to a comatose girl's breasts judging by that one topic. =P
