Look, I get that they're both mediocre movies, but Thor 1 was a fucking snoozefest. Consists of nothing but a bunch of Chris Hemsworth moping around being mopier than Batman on Mother's Day and then a bunch of action all delivered at the end that doesn't make any fucking sense.

They both suck, but atleast Thor 2 had more action and it wasn't a boring romantic comedy

Thor had giants, fun battles, a iron automaton that blasted things, the first real Avengers connection...etc. It wasn't the best, but Thor 2 was just absolute irredeemable junk.

RDJ in The Incredible Hulk was the first Avengers connection.

Action / Fighting scenes in Thor 2 were fantastic. They were stupid in Thor 1 and the giant iron automaton was stupid. They were the only good part of the movie as the plot was largely incoherent.

Thor 1 doesn't even have good action scenes, and then it's got Chris Hemsworth acting sadder than Henry Cavill in BvS. And the plot is even dumber than Thor 2.

I'd call Thor 1 the worst one in the entire franchise but Iron Man 3 still exists.

I've always disliked IM2 more than IM3, though neither one of them seemed terribly necessary. One of those should have been a Black Widow solo film (probably IM3, since she's not a breakout favorite until Avengers happens). The other one (IM2) needs to happen to introduce more of SHIELD, but needs a dramatically different...everything.

Honestly 90% of my beef with IM3 was what they did to The Mandarin.

The extremis thing was also stupid and the annoying kid wasn't that bad.
