I've watched the original trilogy (X-Men, X2, Last Stand) and only First Class from the newer trilogy (also I've seen Deadpool if that counts). I really want to watch the Logan movie after hearing good things about it but feel like I might appreciate it more if I catch up on some of the others first. So how should I watch the rest? If it's by order of release, it would go: Wolverine Origins, The Wolverine, Days of Future Past, and Apocalypse, and ending with Logan? I've heard the Origins movie wasn't too great so can I just skip that all together? Should I rewatch any of the others I've seen to refresh my memory on anything before watching the newer ones?

Honestly if you know who Wolverine and Xavier are, not much else you need to know going into Logan.

Days of Future Past is pretty good, though. Worth seeing either way.

There's not much calling back. I don't want to spoil much but DoFP reset everything except Logan's mind.

The only thing we have in this new timeline is Apocalypse and Deadpool and just memories Logan has of the other timeline. It's more about having seen this guy in 8 movies and seeing his final goodbye in the 9th.
