This is a decent strat. If you look at the three-road intersection between School and Yasnaya Polyana (the one closer to school):



There are three cars that spawn around it. Just to the left of that intersection, there are two compounds north and south of the road with garages, and cars often spawn there. So if you're playing in a team, you can all land there, find a car, drive away somewhere far, loot, and then make your way into the circle.

In that case, Pochinki or Rozhok are kind of fun to gun your way through house-to-house. But it's often a matter of RNG and who gets a gun first. There's a pair of barns just east of Pochinki, you can often land there alone, get a gun, and make your way into Pochinki.

its not THAT easy to just hide and win

if you want to fight, land at either pochinki, the school, rozhok, the hospital, the shooting range, or shelter. then just fight your way to the circle. a good option is to camp out on bridges when applicable

The best way to learn how to actually win fights in that game it just keep dropping at the school or the military base until you consistently win the opening fight.

If you start by playing like a bitch and dropping at random houses far away from everyone else you'll just end up being that guy who hides in bushes because they're afraid of actually having to shoot someone.

more tips:

dont trap yourself in a room aiming at the door like this is some kind of genius strategy

if you know someone is in a house dont rush in, run around the perimeter and see if you can get him from a window

dont play the game like a deathmatch (unless you want to) because the point of the game is to survive. so it might be better to run than to put yourself in a situation where you could die

there is a 99.9% chance that there are 3 snipers staring at that supply drop you think is unprotected

take advantage of the grenades you see around you. seems like people only take the frag grenades

second round, played solo

dropped in prison. found no weapons, no nothing other than a molotov and a backpack

got hurt down to about 65% hp, finall found a gun but then i got headshot and died in 1 hit a moment later

Follow the advice from post #9. Drop in the school over and over until you're constantly winning fights and learn how the guns react and you have your mechanics down. The prison sucks, always go for towns. You'll either be forced to fight and lose but learn from your mistakes or you'll win and learn how to advance past early game into how to manipulate the map.
