It's trying to manipulate and confuse people into thinking it's "the next Bloodborne/Souls game" made by the people who made Dark Souls/Bloodborne, when it's not.


The game has tried to draw these comparisons, and that leaves you having to wonder and ask: why doesn't it think it can stand on its own merits?

Trying to court the Souls fanbase is a dangerous proposition. You might attract a lot of dedicated consumers to try your product, but if it doesn't live up to their very scrutinising expectations, might end up another Lords of the Fallen. >_>

One of the first things I saw of it was "Prepare to dine" which seems a bit suspicious. >_>

Also people online insisting it aren't necessarily just shitposters. It's really not unrealistic in this day and age to suspect some people hyping up the game are receiving financial incentives to do so. Some of the posters I've seen talking this game up have worded it in a weird unnatural way I seldom see people actually talk, and they're sometimes people who just kind of appear and otherwise have no real presence in the community.

Well, I can tell you one thing. As of right now, it looks better than Lords of the Fallen and The Surge does. Maybe the game will fall flat on its face when release comes but I'll stay hopeful.
