The amount of time I spent looking for that last bottle was ridiculous. its not hard to find but the camera angle is weird or something so its easy to overlook

And I never got stuck, don't get why people did. If anything I found that there was too little "game" between the dialogue rather than the game being frustrating.

That is exactly where I stopped, picked it up last night and could not stop.

lmao. same experience here too. picked up the first three chapters, played up till here, through "cmon what am I playing" and stopped. then the internet started raving about it around the 4-5th chapter releases so I picked it up again and got sucked in.

yeah, tbh after flying the drone I was out but I heard about how good it was later on and ignored it for the most part cause I was always playing a really good game.

I finally had teh time for it and I am glad I did.

I still think that it pales in comparison to Telltale's stronger works. Teenage drama is just a hard sell to me, and disguising save scumming as a game mechanic is unimpressive.

That kind of thing is why I didn't buy it on the steam sale. I heard there was barely any gameplay, that it's pretty much a pretty good indie movie masquerading as a game. I'm sure the story is as great as I've heard, but I like games with gameplay more than story.

I don't get this mentality. Why willfully deprive yourself of something just because it's not typically what you play? I'll play almost anything so I just can't ever understand this.

I'm the same tbh. Variety is the spice of life when it comes to video games for me.

Absolutely loved Life is Strange. I consider that and Until Dawn to be the top of the genre.

I dont remember which side was what but no way in hell would I chose not to go back and finally fix it all.

TBH I feel like Ep 3 was peak, 4 was good but not that great, the big twist at the end was insane but ep 5 went super ham and for some reason I did not appreciate it as much, the previous episodes were very grounded and intimate, the jump at the end of 3 felt momentous but then you do it every 2 seconds in 5 and it just loses that "holy shit you can also pull this shit off?" kind of vibe.

Still, amazing experience, I do not regret my decision one bit.

Tales From the Borderlands is still better :V

I'm too tired to type out why I don't think it fixed anything except to point out that Arcadia is already dying and she had that vision before anything actually happened so how can she be the cause of it? Chloe comes before anyone else.

Before the Storm has three episodes, a fourth bonus episode of Max with the deluxe version.

She had the vision because of the way time travelling works, because she can time travel she had already jumped to the time before the vision and fucked shit up, but remember she only stays in the past for a brief moment and then the jumps to the restructured world, so after she had jumped during the course of ep 5, she goes back to the future -pun intended- and then your first self (first self being the Max that the game follows at the beggining of 1) gets a vision of the storm that will happen if she keeps using her powers to distort reality in the way that she did as the game naturally progresses.

But, by jumping back to the very first picture she took, and letting stuff go as it happened before she ever started rewinding, then it stops her from distorting reality to try and fix shit and "hopefully" stops the storm from ever happening.

At least, that's how the game posits this shit.

If any of this was true she would KNOW she traveled. Like I said, I'm tired and with a headache so I'll try to give more of a response after work but for that to be true the rest of the rules wouldn't apply.

That said, she would not know, remember when she jumps back to the Warren Selfie from the Diner? she tells Chloe about what happened and then tells her that she in a moment will forget everything and Chloe needs to be the one to tell her everything that will happen so they can make the plan and not get shot + drugged.

That is exactly why I think she gets the vision at the beginning, because she had jumped to the very start of the game from the Dark Room and thus at that point it started the whole "chain reaction" as Warren puts it.
