so i made some, and they just tasted bland. like it was like normal battered chicken strips. they were good, of course, because they were made by hand. but they lacked any sort of season in the batter.

but i also made some with onion powder mixed into the batter, and those tasted like slightly onion-y chicken strips.

so they weren't terrible, and actually quite good, but if you're looking for some flavor in your batter, just stick with normal chicken batter mixes.
