Is it true that you can pay like $5 a month towards a medical bill, to stay out of collections?

My gf got sick a couple years ago, had to have emergency surgery, and still owes like $9000 on it.

Just call the financial assistance department at that hospital and tell them how much you can afford per month.

Keep in mind they may offer a huge discount if you pay in full.

I've been through two large medical bills. First time I offered and paid 60/mo. Second time I did the same thing and the guy offered to take off like 30% if I paid in full.

Just blow it off, what are they gonna do? Break your legs? Then they'll have to give you more free service.
