I feel like I'm in "classic bodybuilder" mode

http://fernandomachado.blog.br/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/charles-atlas.jpg

I look like a normal guy, but when I take off my shirt my friends are like "dude you're ripped!"

I've never had big arms, I do a push/pull routine. I'm thinking I should add a specific arm day

If you're doing a push/pull split, an arm day will fuck up your progression. You'd be better off adding arm exercises to your routine.

I agree with this. Just add some isolation exercises at the end of your push/pull routine.

That was my worry. I do 2 accessory lifts (eg two triceps isolation exercises on push day) at the end, after my four compound exercises. Should I do more? Should I ditch a compound for focusing on arms? I'm wondering how much I need to focus on arms in the greater picture, really.

It just depends on your goals. I split my workouts into muscle groups because it keeps them shorter, makes them more varied and interesting, makes it easier to measure my progress, and I can hit them harder.

No, I don't want to impede recovery. If I want some extra hypertrophy I'll do it at the end of my workout.

PPP, when you do them at the end, do you go for progressive overload? I've just been doing my last exercise to failure and not recording anything

Throw in some biceps on back day and triceps on chest day.

Yeah, but not to the same extent as the money lifts. I think it was Jim Wendler who said if you're getting stronger on your assistance exercises but not on your main ones, you are failing (and vice versa).

I used to. But now I integrate them in pull/push splits. Triceps on push day and biceps on pull day. It's working must better for than before.

I also work every muscle group 3 times a week.
