Gilly and Sam don't make sense as a couple. In most scenes, she comes across as a bit exasperated by him more than anything else. And I don't blame her because he constantly talks down to her. I get that he saved her and that she feels she owes him, but I don't really buy them as a couple.

he's the only one that respects her. I don't think it's that bad a relationship. I am sure there are other husbands that talk down to their wives about certain things.
