One of the few horror movies I actually like a lot outside of "so bad its good" things like a lot of older films whose special effects and themes just don't hold up today or indie films that are ostensibly horror films but terrible acting/direction/effects ruin most if not all the horror.

I also have enjoyed the Babadook, Alien, and Event Horizon among a few others.

Cool, seen lot of ppl hating it, for me it's one of the better modern horror movies.

And I'm not a horror movie guy

I'm seeing IT tomorrow!

I enjoyed how there was a lot more horror than just pennywise's clown form itself(and indeed sometimes in ways not directly related to IT. I was genuinely creeped out and/or disturbed by a lot of the human actions not directly influenced by IT) beverly's dad and much of metaphor and a lot of the uncanny valley unsettling movements he had.

They really touched upon a lot of different horror tropes. Nothing is scarier, jump scare, gross out, gore. Uncanny valley, creepy basement, the fourth wall will not protect you etc. etc.

Some good lighting too.

This shit freaks me out.

I love that they use Bill Skargård's natural ability to have lazy eyes.

IT was amazing.

The projector scene fucked me up I wasn't expecting to get scared as I rarely do in scary movies, but that was just it for me. Otherwise I was uneasy and creeped out.
