We're getting Cena vs Strowman tonight. Between this and Nakamura working with both Cena and Orton on Smackdown, it's fucking bull shit. The biggest thing about it being bull shit is that they're book the same fucking match three times in a row on PPV (Mahal vs Orton as a recent example), when you could be booking THESE matches on PPVs to help sell them

So stupid, it blows my mind at how stupid this company is. Nakamura vs Cena, Nakamura vs Orton and now Cena vs Strowman, all fucking thrown away on free tv with commercials to fuck up the flow of the match.

This is 100% true, but still, stop blowing these matches on TV. They didn't even fucking build to any of them. Oh, next week a big New Japan vs WWE dream match is going to happen, with commercial breaks and no build.

Oh, a huge money match between Cena and Strowman? Yeah, we'll announce it a few hours before Raw with zero build.

The newer guys like Elias Samson should be beating NXT jobbers to get their characters, gimmick and move set over. Older people like Goldust, R Truth, The Hardyz should be putting over the next step above the new guys, just people they don't have a lot for right now like Curt Hawkins Curtis Axel, and those guys in turn should be putting over the mid-card guys that are in the IC/US title picture.

To make it simple -

3-5 New guys getting over by beating NXT Jobbers

10-15 Vets/lower mid-card guys helping get over the new tier of talent that will be soon in the midcard

7-10 Midcard guys

3-5 Main Eventers

Numbers of course are off the top of my head, but I'm sure you can get the point. If not, my point is that they shouldn't bring up people from NXT with gimmicks and then job them out, they'll never get over.

Of course they don't always win, but that should be the pecking order. And we sure the fuck shouldn't have Jason Jordan come in and go after the fucking Miz and the IC title in his first program. Let him come in, beat NXT rookies on Raw and a lower midcarder at the first few PPVs in the opening match or something

1st hour of Raw should be Newer guys vs NXT rookies, top the hour with a more competitive match like Jordan vs Enzo. 2ed hour should be the next tier of people and the top of that hour should be a IC or CW Title Match. Hour 3 is the main event players and end the show with a big, hyped match like a number 1 contenders match or for the World or even IC Title if it deserves it.

I do understand that, even more reason why these should be bigger matches and not throw away ones on TV with zero build

And Cena isn't going anywhere any time soon, and Brock doesn't need to work everyone

Kinda makes me think of that period in the early 2000s where HHH seemed to hold the title for two and a half years. Raw was constantly giving away big matches for free. Every single PPV had to feature HHH in a title match whether he was champion or challenger, so any other pairing on the Raw brand was given away on the weekly show rather than as a PPV match.

Last time I watched WWE was high school. It was always "Just you wait until [PPV Event at the end of the month]! I'm going to kick your ass!" Then after the fight it's as if there was never any animosity.

Also, Cena didn't get over until he reinvented himself with the rapper gimmick, because WWE was about to fire him because they treated him exactly like JJ is being treated
