Stannis goes out like a bitch.

Dorne only exists so Jamie isn't around to murder people for imprisoning Cersei and it utterly shits on Doran Martell, a fairly amazing character in the books. Siddig deserved better than just playing a cripple who rolls over for the Lannisters. Myrcella also goes out like a bitch and that is dumb.

The Faceless Men apparently just use latex masks made from dead people rather than complex blood magic rituals. The rationale behind her going blind is also dumb.

Jorah weaving in and out of exile is silly even though it only happens once.

And I knew this would happen because they cut Aegon, but Varys' plan is apparently to put Daenarys on the throne. That's fine...but the implication is that his original plan was to put Viserys on the throne which sort of undermines the idea that he is for the realm above all else.

And this is a minor nitpick, but Alliser Thorne doesn't seem like the kind of person to mutiny to me.

is this the season where the unsullied died like flies in a tight corridor?

Oh, yeah. I was thinking that there was nothing wrong with Daenarys' storyline, but I forgot that Barristan also went out like a bitch and that the Unsullied continually got killed by merchant and slave masters.

Goddammit, season six gave me small hope for one moment. Hey, Doran Martell is showing up, maybe they just delayed the reveal that he's planning to work with the Targeryans aft-oh, he and his son are dead.

Fuck me.

Unsullied are trained to fight in formation in the open.

Their pain response is also drugged away but that didn't stop Grey Worm from crying out whenever he got stabbed

Off-screen deaths, ftw.

Yup. It was very stupid and a complete waste of a potentially awesome character.

The entire faceless men subplot was stupid. You shouldn't use words like "rationale" when discussing it. In fact, you just shouldn't discuss it.

My impression is honestly that the show doesn't really know what it's doing with Jorah in the later seasons. No spoilers, but yeah.

Yeah, the thing with Varys is a little odd. At the beginning, we were told that he supported Viserys and then Daenerys after her bro got crowned, but considering who Varys is, I figured it was a part of some grander plan, and not as simple as "let's just put another Targ on the throne." Like, he had to know what an awful person Viserys was, right? He'd hardly have been a "for the people" type of king.

That bothered me so much. I 1000% agree, and I think it would have been much better writing to leave him out of the mutiny. Like you said, he just did not seem like the type of guy to participate in something like that. Ugh.
