At first we were just staying in touch because I wanted to be friends still. Now I think we're "talking" again. Been talking every day, talked honestly and bluntly about why it didn't work, and we've been talking constantly the past week or so.


She seems to be doing a LOT better but I can feel deep down that this is a bad idea.

I can relate though. Loneliness/sexlessness (not a word, but fuck it) is a hell of a drug. I am currently fighting the urge to get back with my last girl. Our relationship wasn't toxic and crazy like TC's, but I really don't want to start a sexual thing back up and get involved/have messy emotions with someone I can't trust and don't want to be with.

No I'm pretty set on not letting this happen. I've been having a rough year but I've felt much happier and free being single. Dating her could have been great, but then it devolved into this mess of mental illness on both sides and I'm not willing to do that again.

Honestly, though, if you're just trying to make sense of your faults and she's doing the same then it's not that bad. You might get something positive from the exchange. Just don't leave any room for it to move beyond that. Erect all the walls, man all the turrets, etc.

i can actually relate to TC unlike the turbovirgs here just talking about shit theyve never experienced

there's a certain "thrill" when youre chatting up your ex, as long as the break wasnt too horrible. it's that forbidden fruit, you know you shouldnt but the excitement gets to you. youre tempted by the chase, and that "spiciness" to your life that was gone for a while makes you all giddy again

If TC has nothing else going on then he'll fall into the ex trap. if he as another bitch he's talking to or he has more self-control, then he'll be able to resist
