you saying it's cheeseball leads me to believe you've never seen any of Lynch's material.

it's his most accessible work though due to him being only a co-creator along with Mark Frost. its just.. idk man. there was nothing else like it at the time. and besides the revival, there's still nothing like it. (though the new stuff is wayyy darker and more true to Lynch's style)

great show that combined the supernatural with pulpy-soap opera storylines along with a great murder mystery. and the score is fucking FANTASTIC.

best show ever imo, but you might have kinda had to be there.

then try the first season. its only 7 or 8 episodes and they're all amazing. if it hooks you great, if not oh well! :)

Definitely agree about the soundtrack. Most shows I skip the opening theme, but I always let it run through while watching Twin Peaks.

If you pretend that "Arbitrary Law" is the last episode of the original run, S2 is arguably better than S1.

The acting cheesy because it's mocking the style of primetime soap operas from the 80s like Dallas and Dynasty.
