Exactly. Other belief systems, when compared to Christianity, don't make any sense when compared next to it. Christianity makes perfect sense and there is nothing illogical about it.

If TC wouldn't mind me butting in here...

Here's how this is logically explained:

The primary quality that defines God is love. The Bible even says "God is Love". He is the embodiment of love.

God created us to love Him. With love must also come free will. God can't FORCE us to genuinely love Him. That would be a paradox.

TLDR: God created us to love him. We can't love without free will. Free will of mankind causes all kinds of messed up things to happen. Man's disobedience to God is why evil exists.

Since God allowed us free will, we can do things that are wrong. God is just, and will punish people for doing wrong. Perhaps not immediately, but in time. That is one reason why "fucked up shit" happens.

Aside from "fucked up shit" being punishment from God, you've also got things that God really didn't have anything to do with. Sometimes things just happen, because of free will and other various things. God has a grand plan designed and laid out for the world, but I'm not convinced he's in control of every tiny detail at all times. He set up the universe and the laws within it, and occasionally gives the world a nudge here and there in the direction he wants it to go.

going to ignore how that doesn't make sense since there is no need for good to triumph evil

why would god give us free will only to punish us for an eternity if we do not live by his exact rules

further more, besides "making sense" what makes christianity more legitimate than other religions

God set up the world we live in with its natural laws. That stuff happens outside of God willing it. Pain and hardships have a purpose.

Did God not know that setting up the world in such a way would cause those things to happen? Did God not care that those things would happen? Or was God unable to create a world in which those things did not happen?

What do you expect me to have said? Good exists. Evil exists. If the two compete against each other, which do you ultimately believe will triumph over the other?

Free Will is precisely used because God wants to make our own choices whether to believe in him or not.

Also, Christianity makes the most sense compared to other religions due to its always compelling evidence in its favor. The same cannot be said for other religions.

We are men, imperfect. We aren't meant to understand grand design. Just strive to be better for yourself and those around you.

Have I met God? I don't think so. Yet I have faith. Why? Because it gives me strength. The belief that trials are meant to be experienced and to lead one to self improvement.

Most religions are founded on faith and self improvement. That's why I chose Freemasonry; we accept all religions. But, you must believe in a higher power.
