I personally wouldn't go to an ivy league even if I could get into one

Some are more worth it than others, but I'd be hard pressed to say any of them aren't worth it. Of course this varies by major/program.

Not if you don't take advantages of the resources and connections you can build through it, imo.

Like all things, it depends on what you do with it. I have zero doubt in my mind that the quality of education offered by an Ivy League is about on par with any number of other excellent public and private universities across the United States. But what Ivy League schools have in spades compared to just about any other university other than maybe a handful of schools like Stanford, MIT, and Chicago is in the realm of connections. Having a Harvard or a Yale degree opens so many doors right off the bat and, if you use the university's resources, gets your foot in the door in essentially every field. That is invaluable, especially in an economy where there's a glut of college educated graduates looking for work.

If you don't go to an ivy league, there's no point in even going to university. These are the guys who get the jobs. The guys who go to other places end up like the CEmen on here who are unemployed or mowing lawns

Cornell is usually ranked near the top 20 best universities in the world, so yeah it's probably worth it.

yes, because they usually have great financial aid.

otherwise, a renowned public school is just as good - UCLA, UMich, UNC, etc
