8AM - Elementary Japanese (101)
9AM - Modern Political Thought (252)
10AM - Boston Cooperation and Conflict (340)
1PM - Public Policy (203)
2PM - Crime Statistics (352)

Japanese - I'm not an anime or video game nerd much anymore, but I know some basics to the point I figure I would give this a shot. (I know Hiragana and Katakana) ... It was something I wanted to learn in my weeb phase, so I guess it is kind of a bucket list idea, but I think learning a language so different from English would just be awesome, especially with Asian characters of some sort.

Modern Political Thoughts - Really loving the essence these courses are giving except MPT. As a reading-impaired person, this is going to be rough on the text and already scares the Hell out of me. My instructor's first language is Spanish. Second is French. Third is English, so he's really hard to understand. He speaks softly too, which makes things worse. I mean, I feel he and I have a sort of connection though because he DID introduce himself as a queer person too, so I feel like there's that "we are of the same kinda" connection where he really wants to help me through this. Still going to be a Hell course.

Boston Coop and Conflict - I'm loving this. I love my city and I love learning about it. The instructor is an older lady who worked under Senator Ed Markey and she's got a super cool personality. She's going to keep us all laughing. While it is a 300 course, she teaches a LOT of 50 people classes, so with all that paper-load, she promised she doesn't expect lengthy papers, yay!

Public Policy - Same instructor as BCaC, so already off to a great start. Pretty much the same schpeal (or whatever), so I feel good about the class. She called my name out and said she "loved my name" in the previous class, so when she called me again in this one, she was like "I remember people easier with names I like", which was nice. I can tell she's going to be one of my favorite instructors at this college.

Crime Statistics - This instructor reminded me of Yolandi Visser from Die Antwoord kinda, but not as well..... crazy-looking? She even had a ridiculously high pitched voice. She started to scare me when she was talking about the class and the math essentials, but I was relieved when she said you'd need to know addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division at best. Everyone was eased.

All in all, I think this could turn out just swell. In a sense, I like all of my instructors, but we will see.

How about you all?

im in high school but idc

A - French
B - Stagecraft
C - Math [Foundations]
D - Social Studies

French - My dad speaks it fluently and I'm Canadian so yeah. I'm taking it. Also makes it easier to learn other languages.

Stagecraft - The teacher of this makes me mad, but i've known him for a year. He's said that he's going to stop yelling as much. I love the class itself though. We're doing shrek :/

Math - :[

Socials - The teacher is great. He started us off with the question: what is social studies? He didn't accept stating what we learned in the past as an answer.

My arm ended up tired from all the times I raised my hand to answer, then he told me it was getting there. Happened about 8 times. I tried to be smart and ask him "what is foods without using examples or instructions?" he just said "A method of survival"

Turns out the answer was citizenship education... Whatever that means.

Cute girl sits in front of me. She's hella nice too

Accounting 101
Economics 102 (microeconomics)
Economics 103 (macroeconomics)
Psychology 251 (organizational behavior)
Business 301 (management)

Accounting- the teacher tries to act like he's a good guy by joking around but there have been a few moments where showed his true colors. He's strict as hell and has a short temper. We've only done the basic stuff so far, but I feel like this is going to get very complicated.

Econ 102- easy as hell

Econ 103- taught by a very old man who doesn't understand what people are saying to him half of the time. He rambles a lot, talks in an old school New York accent and mumbles a lot, doesn't have anyone's respect and goes on rants about politics way too often.

Psych 251- the teacher is a hippie. this class is extremely straight forward and it'll be easy to get a good grade. Also, we have todo 2 group projects over the course of this term and there's a cute girl in my group who smiles at me a lot

Business 301- this guy makes everything easy to understand and manages to hold my attention throughout the entire lecture. This is the most interesting class so far.

I took Macro and Micro. I loved my professor. The guy was a millionaire and super smart. He would always throw in a brag about "Oh yeah, I sent my kid to London, now I am putting him up in NYC when he returns back to the country" and that they (the parents) flew to Sweden to visit their daughter to approve or disapprove of her boyfriend. (And for that reason only) .... He was a funny guy.

I can read. I just read at a very, very slow pace. Its damn infuriating. There's so many reading-intensive classes out there that I am going to get road blocked on. :(

You should see my notes. I read one paragraph 3-5 times Analyze that one paragraph, write it in a way I'd read it very fast and condensed, and move onto the next paragraph. It's really no way to go about it, but it's the only way I can.

Just transferred to a state university after graduating from CC and I have to maintain a 3.25 for the first year or I get kicked out of my major, which will leave me devastated and lost.

Behavioral Fundamentals of Management (341)
Financial Management (300)
Introduction to Psychology (101)
Survey of Art Western World I (170)
Information in 21st Century (100)

Art and Psych are pretty easy with little to no homework
BFoM and FM seems like you're grade is basically just about doing all the homework and there's a shit load to do.
21st Century I got no idea what to make of it, but seems pretty easy so far.

8 am American Government
11 am American History
Human Bio 2 (online)
Great American Novel (online)

Easy af semester. Only need 13 hours to get my associates.

The government and American history are really easy, though the government is boring, but I like history so I the second class is alright. Human Bio 2 is easily my hardest class but it's not too bad if you read the chapter and look up stuff online. Great american novel is ass lol, I'm not a reader at all and I only took it because it was open and I needed elective credit hours. I hate reading novels honestly so this class is gonna be pretty rough lol

18 weeks full time in a classroom. I observe for 2 weeks and then slowly take over. What determines if I pass is my co-op teacher's eval and score of a video/commentary I send to Pearson (basically mafia of the US's education) of me teaching lessons.

That's interesting. What course will you be doing this (taking control of slowly) with?

Short term goal is to make bank at a big law firm. Almost no one makes partner, so I will probably only be there for a few years. Then I'll probably lateral into some kind of government work, but nothing particular right now.

Sure, it'd be great to become a judge in 20 or 30 years but a lot of that is political and luck based.

Yeah, I don't let it get me down. I completed 5 honors classes and graduated with a 3.95 in CC and was overly proud of that accomplishment. I actually had to psychologically tackle a literature course too. (Here's where those smarts come in. At the time I started the course, I was an honors student. I knew the class would absolutely suck for me, so I told the instructor I wanted to turn it into an honors course by contract. She let me. Why did I do this? Because if she knows I am aiming at honors, there's a good chance of leniency in my grading if I prove to do well in certain areas. Fast forward, I got an A!.... My tests were totally tilted on answer. I know she tried to keep me afloat so I could keep the class honors. ;) )

Political Science. Japan is an elective. Crime Stats is an elective too. I figure since I have Criminology, Deviance, Abnormal Psych, Intro to psych and Intro to Soc under my belt, having another crime-based or crime-possibly-oriented course could edge me into a minor in Criminal work-fields. All other classes I wanted are full. The other three are Poli-Sci courses.

Ah, hey, aim for the stars. The key is to market yourself. Those classes will totally aid you in that, that's for sure.

Actually have no idea what either of those are. Almost sounds like a language course/set.

Intro to Elementary Number Theory - boring but it's okay, it's mostly because I already knew the material.

Foundations of Math - more or less "set theory + how to write proofs." Pretty good so far, I like the prof.

Intro to Numerical Methods - boring as hell and the prof doesn't know what she's doing.

Applied Linear Algebra - wondering how I got in a grad-level course as an undergrad. Instructor is a little pedantic but it's okay.

World History (1500 - Present) - meh.

Math major?

Intermediate Spanish II -

Fun class but I feel like I'm beyond most of the students. Only thing I'm not 100% on is the subjunctive.

History of Imperial China

I want to like this class but the professor is too nice for my liking. I'm waiting to get to the actual history.

Organic Chem I

Easy peasy so far, just review of molecular structure from freshman chem.

Zoology

Not hard, just raw memorization and some I remember from intro bio.

I have a Chinese major friend. She loves the dynasties. Totally addicted to those classes. What is your major?

Constitutional Law
Torts
Contracts
Civil Procedure
Property
Legal Research and Writing

I have learned that for the purpose of law, my writing is awful. Also that nineteenth century English sucks.

I would love for my school to have more constitutional based courses. I really would love to dig deeper into it. Part of why I want to kind of inch law. (Though I want to inch law and crime and well as marketing)

Lucky. I can hardly do much math anymore. It wouldn't be bad if it all wasn't connected. My brain can't retain that much info chained like that.

Oh I loved my undergrad constitutional classes for Political Science and Criminal Justice. All of the professors I had for them were my absolute favorites.

The real deal (at least the 1L gambit of classes) is a bit of a sober awakening in that the depth is greater and the minor details that undergrad classes would gloss over are suddenly very important.

It's actually taught by a self made multi milllionaire, so I can't really complain about the valuable material I'm gonna learn in the class

Yeah, it does get a bit annoying sometimes but that's also what I like about it in a way: it makes it easy to get the necessary foundation to start studying a field in mathematics.

Yeah, I just mentally can't do it. Like, I could kick butt if it just wasn't chained. All course long in College Algebra, I aced everything. Got to the final? I never saw my test, but it had to be a 0. I zoned out as soon as the test came and had a nervous breakdown because I lost everything. Not one question came back.
