It depends if death is actively after me in Final Destination. If so, I'd only have a few days or weeks to live before an unavoidable death.

The Purge is only once a year and if you're not a total dickhead you should be all right.

Death only targets the people in the movies because they avoided their death. They are actually living longer by getting involved in that situation.

If I was Death in the Final Destination movies I would troll them hard.

Give them a vision of their deaths, let them escape and then.. Just wait and wait, then BAM! give them all heart attacks or aneurysm's. Just instantly killing them.

Isn't Final Destination like if you escape death then it comes after you relentlessly and tried to make sure you're dead. Like a can't escape your fate kind of thing?

The Purge because it's not supernatural.

Isn't it revealed in one of the later movies, made long after anyone stopped caring, that this is pretty much what happens? Death sends visions and then kills the survivors in elaborate ways because he's bored?

It's not just escaping death. Like if you almost drown and a lifeguard saves you, then he doesn't come after you. The movies involve someone having a psychic vision of their death (and others') and then avoiding that with knowledge they shouldn't have.

It was never fully explained and the last time they did a sequel/prequel, they basically just added in another stupid twist. If you are next on the kill list, you can extend your life by killing the person before you. Which is just dumb. Because now it's a goddamn video game.

you misunderstood the twist
you see the survivors in the last final destination movie learn that if they murder someone who wasnt meant to die then they get to take their slot on deaths list
you know has a way to balance out deaths books. the person on they murdered takes their spot on deaths list so they get theirs which could be 1 day away or 100 years away.

Id survive what goes on in The Purge.

but Id stay safer in a stronger and well guarded place where I know my surroundings and secret hiding spots to take out the invaders. Plus its a one night only thing. Plus the other people would have to get tired eventually instead of waiting around

Wow, death is a fucking jackass. He's already going to die anyway, literally not going to let him kill himself? Maybe the guy should just constantly shoot himself until one finally lands or death just doesn't let him die.

in I think it's the third one.... the one about the roller coaster.... Death lets them think they are safe for a while. and then like a year later, it fucks with them on a subway. giving the main character a vision only after she can do nothing about it. basically, the doors close and the train is moving....and THEN she gets the vision. and then she realizes she's fucked cause the vision came too late. I mean it doesn't show what happens next but they seem pretty fucked and what happened in the vision is probably fairly close to what ends up happening.
