Was looking at some of the games on the system. It really is an underrated console. Plus if you're a completely legal gamer that doesn't download Roms then the Virtual Console makes it even more valuable with the GBA games on it.

I'd get it for the Megaman Battle Network series alone if I didn't already have the cartridges

Yes. The hardware may have been a flop, but there are SO many great games for Wii U

It's a question of whether it didn't sell because of the hate, or it got the hate because it didn't sell. I think it's the latter.

It was just marketed really poorly and should have been called something other than Wii U.

I personally think it was just confusion and Wii fatigue. Even though it was it's own stand alone console it kinda felt like an upgrade to the Wii or a variation of the original Wii. Plus the Wii Mini came out around the same time probably adding to the confusion and Fatigue.

If they even named it something like Revolution or something else just to differentiate it from the Wii it might have sold better and lasted longer but regardless it's a really good product

It has several great games, but the lack of third-party support and the unforgivable first-party game droughts were what killed it.
