SharpX68000 09/05/17 1:59:09 AM #1:	Id just like to ask first hand to be serious, or if youre gonna make a joke please follow it up with a serious answer. Also to clarify i dont mean stuff like August underground which shows brutal imagery but is ultimately boring. Any way the most common answer I see is Come and see which has some really surreal and disturbing moments imo. Also Threads is often brought up and I found the graphic imagery in that film even more disturbing than Come and See personally (amazing since its a tv movie). Ive often brought up The plague Dogs on this site and its the most oppressive and bleak animated film as far as im concerned (Where the wind blows and Barefoot Genare worth mentionkng too but those have moments of light at least). One of the few endings that gets to me. Pixote I think is a very disturbing but powerful film that deserves more recognition. The way it deals with kids in an all too real and harrowing situation is bound to leave an impact on anyone with a heart. Angst the 1983 german serial killer film is one of the most ingeniously simple horror thrillers and its unique cenimatography help shape it into an intense visceral experience shaped around a frightningly raw and believable scenario. John Carpenters The Thing is a masterpiece and about the only well known horror classic to have an effect on me. I wouldnt say i find it so much disturbing as straight up intimidating. That Kennel scene always makes me tense up. The Cremator a late 60s Hungarian horror black comedy is the one film that crawls under my skin and im not sure how to explain why. I dont think I understood what a fever dream was until i saw this film. I imagine some may find it boring but this one feels like it was pulled from a forgotten nightmare of mine. And finally Shura from 1971 which is my favorite horror film ever. Its executed in way that shows its theatrical roots and its in black and white making it feel older than it is. Some of the acting and facial expressions come off dated and cheesy. I felt very uncomfortable watching Jake Gyllenhaal's do the things he was doing, but was captivated at the same time. Almost felt like I was spying on a despicable human being, and was being tainted just by observing. The second half of Martyrs was kind of disturbing to watch. Went a completely different direction from what I was expecting, and felt a little uneasy when you realize what a hopeless situation the protagonist is stuck in. --- The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes.
