Ok so you have a relation with your gf or wife and you both discuss your financial situation to see if you both can actually live together and start a family. She makes $30K while you make $60K or more. Now, as far as I know, once you tell a woman your income this will immediately trigger her to either stay with you for your money, stay with you because you have a decent stable income, or leave you because you're poor as shit. So you don't want to understate your income too much down to $7K because that's how much you made back when you were working in retail but you don't want to overstate it too much either because then she"'ll just be coming after your money.
So are you a bad person if you lie and say you make $20K? I personally think this is an ok salary to tell women because it will let them know that youre not broke but youre not rich either. Average household income is $50K in America.
