Miss him, back in the late 90s I was always blown out of my mind laughing my ass off at his specials and croc files. Pretty much the only reason I used to watch animal planet back when, now the channel sucks.

I liked his world war 2 special, such awesome stuff.

wasnt there like a Guts rip off on saturday mornings? Or was that Discovery? Probably discovery, nevermind. Yeah, they used to play Roam by the B52's during the clips between shows and commercials.

I always said he would get it from an animal one day. Everyone did. He just, acted like a fool with them too often. He wasn't about "Hey look at this creature, here's some facts about it." He was "Look there! That's a dangerous creature. Now watch as I go fuck with it and piss it off." It was inevitable. Like watching someone play russian roulette.

I just didn't think it would be a stingray barb to the heart.

I really didnt like how he always tackled animals or provoked them. It seemed kind of abusive.

When he wasn't pinning animals down though, he was pretty well informed and entertaining.

And yeah, it is too bad he died. It seems like we dont have many animal experts to fill his void of entertianment and education.
