On one hand no, because DB has been and will always be bigger than Death Note. The audience and demand for it was much larger, so the stakes of getting DB:Evolution right were higher. Death Note will come and go and be forgotten.
That said, DN has a more complex message, and the movie completely pissed on it for seemingly no reason. It almost felt like whoever was making the creative decisions didn't even care to be involved. ... Copied to Clipboard!
