Great game, just be warned there will be a lot of deaths where you will feel cheated cuz you got killed by an instant death move from an enemy that you can't see because he's off screen and the camera sucks

Once you learn the combat mechanics this game is beyond fun.

Protip: Learn the Izuna Drop. It's an instant kill on most normal enemies.

Protip: Master chaining ultimate techs to wipe out a room easily and quickly.

Protip: Level up the Dabilaharo Sword to Lv 3 as soon as you can. Its UT is a boss killer.

Most of the times you can just spam wall jump triangle with lunar staff/dabilaharo to kill everything, you have to run straight and all the way up the wall and then Ryu will do a flip, that's when you press triangle to get the blue shadow attack and invincibility frames. Still works even on master ninja difficulty.

Use auto homing jump (square + X) follow by mario stomp a lot to stun regular enemies.

Use guard button to stagger essence so you can then mario stomp/jump away/homing jump and on landing press triangle to do ultimate technique

Lunar staff has the longest invincible animation for ultimate technique and is very useful for crowd control.

When you upgrade the wooden sword all the way to max level, it does the most amount of damage in the game when you are low on health.

Learn to spam invincibility:
- dodge -> auto homing jump
- counter
- mario stomp
- guillotine throw
- jump on landing ultimate technique if you have available staggered essence in the air
- izuna drop

Use dodge roll follow by jump to travel faster
Use dodge roll follow by auto homing jump to dodge attacks you normally cannot dodge with a single dodge roll and close in on to your enemy at the same time.
