I love how literally every storm is entirely the result of climate change, but climate alarmists have been baffled by how few we've had compared to projections.

I mean, is there any direct correlation here?

Legitimate question.

Well it is the largest storm by water mass we've ever been hit with. Obviously these things can happen but when we're making the planet absorb more solar energy, and storms are a direct result from that energy, it's not a far leap.

Here's the deal though, no particular storm could ever* been absolutely attributed to climate change but it at some point we need to cowboy the fuck up and admit it. Imagine if we 10 times as many hurricanes, could you definitively say X,Y,or Z was because of climate change? No but god damn. That's not a fair question.

Storm frequency has been DECLINING since the '90's, though. Is THAT the result of climate change, too?

The more pressing issue seems to be why the government refuses to address infrastructure spending or disaster relief despite all the hurricanes and other natural disasters that keep on wrecking shit.

What do you mean cowboy up? Ever seen miles and miles of cactus and devil rope (barbed wire)? Let's not cowboy up or biker up, we should have more respect for the earth than we have now because we are stuck here, it is the mother.

Maybe, I'm not a climate scientist. Maybe, to make an analogy with forest fires, we prevent them by stopping brush fires but when they do happen it's much more severe. There could be some mechanism that helps prevent storms with the extra energy but once they do happen we get Katrinas, Sandys, and Harveys.

Or maybe your claim is bunk. Or maybe 27 years isn't enough to detect a trend.

I'm not a climate scientist.

I simply understand the basic physics of the greenhouse effect.

Well, a major problem with Harvey is that the government refused to help pay for things Houston has been asking for to prevent catastrophic flooding and they keep paving over water absorbing plants and the like with concrete and it leaves the water nowhere to go.
