My textbook which has all of the steps and problems doesn't come until the week after! There is no pdf file anywhere online either. Also doesn't help that my professor doesn't give a shit either because I've personally seen him turn down extensions. Do I just slowly watch the deadline pass and take the F CE?

Any competent university has a list of courses and the required / optional books uploaded to the university bookstore website like, weeks in advance. I won't deny that the current college textbook industry is straight exploiting students, but that's the truth right now. Find the required books and make sure you have those on day 1 (whether through the bookstore or Chegg or amazon or w/e is up to you).
