I think I would feel incredibly uncomfortable holding a $930 brick in my pocket, worrying about scratching it if it falls. And the thing is huge, seems like a juicy target for a thief...

Some of these "phablets" are a bit much. I am happy with my Nexus 6P that measures about 6.27" x 3" but I wouldn't want to go larger. The funny thing is, I can't imagine going back to my Nexus S with its 4.88" x 2.48" size. The larger screen is nice.

even the iphone plus is uncomfortable. But galaxy note take the cake with it's side screen. do you like your edges looking concave and every time you touch it a menu pops up? Well here you go. Also no media will look good on it because it's bleeding off the sides.

What do you mean by contract phones? Assuming you have the cash can't you just outright buy one from your provider or an unlocked from a third party vendor? T-Mobile is selling it ta $930 and I know with T-Mobile they no longer have contracts for their services. Hell, you can even pay for the the $930 (without tax) over 24 hours and pay zero interest with T-Mobile. I did that with my Nexus 4 yay back.
