Don't have a TV and don't feel like buying one.

Also, is it worth it to get it from Amazon? MSRP is 300$ but can't find it anywhere at that price.

Yes especially if you want console quality without the need for a TV

My 40" TV has a faulty sound card so I mostly play portable

It has a really nice screen, so I'm okay with that

Yep, you can play it like a giant psp, or prop it up while you have a controller playing.

I thought so too but I like to use it as both a portable and as a regular console (about 50/50).

If you can stand 2 - 3 hours of battery, then I'd say yes. If it sounds too low then it probably isn't the best choice for you.

It's actually better as a portable than a home console imo. Of course multiplayer games are better docked though.

It depends on the game. Sonic Mania doesn't drain the battery very much at all for example.

Using the docked joycons on the sides of the system as your controller is awkward.

I prefer it docked.

That being said, it's perfectly playable as a portable, although like mentioned the ergonomics leave something to be desired.

It's 720P, but nice and sharp

Unfortunately this comes at the cost of the screen being plastic by default smh

There's more to screen than resolution. What i wanted to know if it was super reflective low grade tn panel from dumbster like Wii u gamepad had. 3ds seems to have mixed screens so you never know what you get.

The Switch screen is way better than the Wii U. If a game is bright like Splatoon or Sonic Mania I've never had an issue.

If you've ever used an OG Vita it seems similar to that.
