So I bought this Turtle Beach PS4 headset and it's garbage. It sounds kinda nice but it cups your ears and blocks out all the sound around you and it's just like, what the heck? And after awhile the pressure starts to feel really unpleasant.

I have a great set of Logitech H340 headphones I use for my computer that sound amazing but don't go all the way around year ear, but unfortunately they're USB and incompatible as far as I know with the PS4.

Been looking at Best Buy and everything I see is those damn cave cuppies. Does anyone know of a headset brand or model that is more like the logitech style where it's still a comfy/padded headphone but it doesn't wrap around your ear and cancel out the world?

I'd appreciate it forever if this is a thing.

idk about ps4 headsets but just as an FYI the terminology you want to use is over-ear headphones, might make your search easier

It might be able to plug into the system itself - I haven't tried that actually, but it would defeat the purpose on some level since I'd probably have to sit ridiculously close to the console and I'm like, across the living room.

Plus when I stream I have a whole complicated set up with a splitter coming out of the DS4 that turns me into a Bionicle and I'm sure adding USB to the mix would muck up that system.

The headset band itself isn't, and I've loosened up the sides, but yeah they just get too tight on my ears over time. Like the way it cups around them feels very unpleasant from the get go and after an hour or so my ears are just like yo, dude, let us out of here
