Like I said, locked out. You're assuming stuff I never said.

This isn't just some random "bullshit" that Google did. This is a rather common security practice to prevent accounts from being stolen as easily and is a good thing (although security questions are really poor way of protecting accounts, a well implemented two factor authentication would be better). Instead of all this bitching, let this be a lesson to actually update the security settings once you get access to the account back.

Logging into an account that has been inactive from ages from an unfamiliar device? That's a common scenario for a hacker trying to get into the account. This is security working as intended. You should be thanking Google instead of bitching at them.
