Solar panels and windmills are energy inefficient as they produce far less energy than coal or fossil fuels. Nuclear energy however seems pretty cool and emits zero carbon, but no, them multiple regulations on the nuclear energy sector and them left-wing hippies lobbying and spewing pseudoscience has to set back the advancement of such an energy source into further advancement.

You're not gonna see any real improvement on the global scale if Russia, China, and India still pollute everything to hell. The United States just doing a few things here and there isn't enough if people are actually serious about making an effort to reduce everyone's carbon footprints.

While I agree mostly with your 2nd paragraph, it has to start somewhere. And we are the US, we should be leading on stuff like climate change, not saying "well he's not doing it, so Im not gonna either!"
