Like weebs from the west go there thinking that being in Japan is like an anime and when they get there Japanese people hate them more than people from the west.

Yes and no, the anime/manga industry love them because they're funding them. Though I can see from a Japanese perspective how it can be pretty annoying to be only known for anime.

Anime is a niche culture in Japan.
Not all Japanese like it. They have a negative opinion of even Japanese fans. Foreign fans are considered to be embarrassing
