The graphics and character models makes me wanna puke. And why the fuck is everything room and place dark as fuck. Is there an easy mod to fix all this?

Mods can only do so much for Oblivion. The game simply has bad art design covered up by pretty grass and trees.

Well, for general landscapes, buildings and such, Qarl's Texture Pack 3 does the job well. For character models, Oblivion Character Overhaul version 2/Version 1 fixes faces, while something like Roberts or Exnem fix bodies. Though installing all of this may be odd for a first time modder.

For the dark rooms, kick the brightness up or use torches.

Naw ain't there a mod to just make things default a little brighter? What about pre leveled mod and fuck this scale leveling.

As far as I know, there's no one mod to make everything brighter.

For leveling, there's stuff like Oblivion XP, or Realistic Leveling. And for scaling, the biggest one is OOO. For something smaller, there's Oblivion Scaling Unclusterfucked which I haven't tested.

Your best option is to wait until next year when it is ported to the 64 bit version of the Skyrim engine with Skyrim's gameplay, combat, and a revamped landscape.

Couldn't tell you. They did the exact same in Skyrim as well, and like Oblivion someone made a mod for it as well.

Either way, I assume this isn't your first time right? Just go nuts with mods and see what tickles your fancy.

I'm still waiting for the Skywind mod. It's Morrowind with Skyrim graphics and gameplay.

They've been working on it for years. I don't think it'll ever actually be finished.

I tried to go back and play it too, a while back. I could get over the graphics but the gameplay was just awful. I forgot that the jumping increasings some stat and dumb shit like that. The leveling process is just grueling.

Yeah, I remember that. Acrobatics. I always took that trait because it made leveling easy. Though I did feel dorky jumping everywhere I went.

I had forgotten how dated it looked outside of the fauna. When I first saw the screens for Skyrim, I thought it didn't look much better than Oblivion. But then when I went back and played Oblivion...hoo boy, was I wrong.
