That's actually what I was hoping for. Good to hear that my motherboard and graphics cards are fine.

Excellent.

Was it old or something? What brand? I know you said it was 850w.

It's a Thermaltake that is about 2.5 years old now.

Could have happened to any PSU, but Thermaltake isn't exactly known for putting out amazing power supplies. At least it didn't take the rest of your system with it.

Why is it that he can hit a 3rd baseman on a frozen rope from 300 feet away, but he can't hit a 12 foot tall catcher from 60 feet 6 inches away?

Very true. Personally, I use Corsair's power supplies, and cases.

Now the sucky question, was it a semi-modular power supply, or worse, a non-modular?

A word of advice, get at least 10% More PSU than you need. If it's running at peak constantly it'll wear out faster.

Yeah, at the end of the day, I'm glad I went relatively high end with building my PC 2.5 years ago. The graphics card I chose back then (Radeon r9 290) handles 4K just fine.

I just can't mine with it and play games on the highest setting, so I added another GPU (Radeon RX 580) to mine with and I'll watch videos and play games using the R9 290.

That school can die in a fire for all I care. If SMU got the death penalty for repeated recruiting violations, Penn State is lucky to have any sports programs at all at this point.

I have a 10-year old Corsair HX620W that's still going strong. How does that make you feel?
