Yeah, I said this earlier but if you intend to use characters like Meg, Fiona, and Vika then you need to start boss grinding on the boss of this level and 1-E. Try to get them to tier 2 level 5, or level 25-30 for Vika

Played the original fire emblem and got through the story with the female that looks like marth, then the game basically reset with another main character and I was like screw that and I haven't played since. I don't know how people can play fire emblem so long.

for bosses (or other units standing on a Seize square) you whittle their health down with bronze weapons (or something else if they need a stronger weapon to have more Attack than the boss has Defense), but before you finish them off, you let the square heal them and do it all again

it also often works with Laguz too - when they're transformed they give a ton of EXP. that desert level filled with treasure is excellent because of the healing pots

Boss abuse is probably the only way to make some units in RD practical but my word is it tedious, and lord help you if you make a mistake and a unit dies.

also, if you want to squeeze out more EXP for healers, try healing someone with Micaiah's Sacrifice ability first, then healing Micaiah with Laura

In RD you can save between turns if you're not in hard mode so it's not as much of a problem there

I like Fiona, but she's underleveled, has poor base stats, and poor availability. A lot of characters have similar problems in Radiant Dawn, unfortunately.

Fiona is a good egg. I really like her, but she was pretty much worthless in a fight. It's sad.

Also Micaiah really needs to stop shit talking my man Ike. Every time he's brought up, she gets all passive aggressive. C'mon Micaiah, Ike is the man.

Oh hell yeah! I actually get Nailah? I was expecting her to be like the other Laguz royals in Path of Radiance and never actually recruited.

Ok, the Wolf Queen is badass. I feel really bad having her do a shitton of the fighting, as I'm sure the exp would be appreciated elsewhere, but she's too badass to not use.

The Wolf Laguz are awesome.

Not gonna lie, I thought for sure Ashnard's "Son" was going to stab Micaiah in the back after all was said and done. Still expect something like that. Don't trust that guy.

Crimea is full of jerks too. Jeez, show some damn gratitude. If Elincia didn't do work, Ashnard would still be stomping around Crimea.

And Begnion are STILL asshats. I was thinking it was just that faction under Jarod, but here they messing with the Birds in Crimea's airspace. Damn.

People go bonkers over Thunder magic in this game though, despite its putrid stats, just for being quite useful in 4-E-3 and when fighting Begnion's dracoknights.

Really the only reason Ilyana gets all that love. And to be honest, I'm quite guilty of that myself as well :l

Rexbolt is fun, but yeah, Thunder is just so fucking bad

that being said, I once tried to see if I could break Ragnell with Corrosion in 3-13. to do this, I had to give the scroll to Keiran in one of the Crimea chapters in part 3 and have Sothe steal it from him in the Dawn Brigade chapter where you face off against the Crimea Royal Knights

and that's not even counting the actual fight against Ike

it was a bad decision

Oh damn you're right. Completely forgot about that. But along with the laguz weapons I'm pretty sure that's just a glitch. They probably put more focus on Ragnell because of how important it is.
