FF12 has been so traumatizing for me that, even though I beat the game, I have absolutely zero memory of it.

Like, none. I have no idea who any of the characters are.

every room looks 99% identical and the only way to know for sure where you are is waypoints. It's not enough to make a map, you have to physically track your movements/position on the map.
gates have limited times that they can be opened and you can only start the timer from elsewhere in the dungeon
gates share names, you can't have more than one gate with the same name open at the same time.
almost every enemy has some kind of instant death attack
the ghosts can make copies of themselves, except the copies always have full health, so fighting one ghost can take like 5 minutes even with 4x speed because you have to keep killing copies

This year I cut the fucking tree down.

Excalibur is a great weapon.

I 100%ed the game when it came out...twice. I remember Excal being my go to sword.

I spent, like, four hours in there on Sunday trying to get everything and gave up. I'll try and get the rest this weekend but that place is absolutely stupid. I'm still fuming over it. I actually wanted to make a topic and complain about it myself.

Yeah, last year I got stuck up on the neck and head. One of the little fuckers crawled in my ear. For almost a week it looked I was wearing a huge fake rubber prosthetic.

Monster Arena wasn't very bad at all. I equipped the monster capture items as soon as I got it and just captured everything as I was grinding. There were a couple of annoying monsters, but most of them were fine.

Yellowjackets are not the same as hornets or paper wasps. They're aggressive as fuck and next in the ground, so if you're mowing the lawn and come across them, you get almost no warning until they're stinging you.
