...people who have never been to other countries. There are countries (mostly small European, like Monaco) that have vastly higher standards of living. It is an empirical fact that life is better there. You cant argue with it. The only argument you can make is that those sorts of systems cant be replicated on a larger scale, but that doesnt change the face that America is pretty shitty in comparison.

GDP per capital is a solid way, but there are also international agencies that factor in economic prosperity + social freedoms + social services.

Like, I don't think I could possibly care less about what someone from, say, Germany thinks about the US, why do they care so much about what I think about the US?

Sure, there are people who think the US is the best and most important country on the planet, but you know what helps that delusion? People from other countries who are so obsessed with ours that they talk more about the US then they do about their own country.

You just compared Vegas to a country where some sidewalks are literally made of marble, French Haute Cuisine is the norm, and there is virtually zero crime. You have clearly never visited Monaco. The city is flawless.
