I've thought about that a lot. On one hand, burning hurts, but ends rather quickly. Freezing to death takes days but eventually stops hurting. Drowning is probably better than both.

I heard being buried sucks nards. Like they would bury people up to their neck in the sand. Why that's so bad is that when you exhale, your body shrinks, allowing the sand to take its place, meaning that there's less room for your lungs to expand when you take your next breath. So eventually there's no room for your lungs to expand and you can't inhale and eventually you suffocate.

I've thought of the most messed up way to die before and I remember what I came up with. I will put what I came up with in spoilers because it's really messed up.

I think it would be being chained to the wall or something at the bottom of a well while water slowly drips in, and it takes like 72 hours or something for the well to fill up to the point where you drown. For the last several hours you would be contorting yourself into these crazy positions just trying to get your nose above water to breathe, but at some point it would be no longer possible.

Shit it's not even the worst heat related thing, imagine getting baked alive at a temperature enough to be burning your skin but not fry all your nerve endings or kill you quickly, you just have to sit through it it for hours until you die.

Have you tried breathing in water? Just a little bit is enough to make your nose "burn" and you to cough violently.

Now multiply that feeling by a large number.

Don't tell me you'll just hold your breath until you pass out. Your body will reflexively make you breath regardless of the water when it's desperate enough, meaning the agony of breathing in water is a certainty.

Meanwhile, you're still deprived of the relief of breathing in proper air. Just your first breath of water is enough to make you gasp and swallow more disgusting, salty, sandy water.

All of that, keeps going and going until you pass out and pass away.

Obviously torture of any significant length of time
is the worst. Anything too crazy like shoving someone feet first into a wood chipper and they'd go into shock and die. Honestly, anything that can be done to cause emotional trauma would be worse. Like the well slowly filling with water or being beat and starved for days like in a prison camp.

Also one of my high school history teachers told us about a method the nazis used just for their twisted experiments to see how much pain the human mind could take.

Cut a hole in someone.
Sedate a rat and put it in the hole.
Sew the hole shut.
When the rat wakes up, it eats its way out.

He said there were much worse torture methods that he had read about but that was the worst that he would talk about in class.

honestly drowning would be worse than burning imo. Its that you can't really give up, and if its still water, it would take very long time before you can't stay afloat anymore. Like hours. starving to death would be pretty bad as well. It can take like two weeks.

Then there's also insane, non generic ways to die if you have the imagination, which makes the drowning or starving look like better choices.

I'd say having body parts cut off one by one. Having the wounds treated to prevent bleeding to death. And being given adrenaline shots to prevent passing out.

Actually, they don't cut a hole in the person. They put the rat in a bucket and cover the top. Then they heat up the bottom part until the rat gets mad and tries clawing it way out. When the rat is mad enough, they but the bucket and cover over your stomach and then they remove the cover and the rat claws itself into your stomach. I saw it in a movie or tv show

There's an execution in Egypt I think where they feed you as much fruit as possible to give you diarrhea and then cover you in honey and set you adrift on a lake. The bugs are attracted by the honey and shit, and slowly eat you alive it's pretty horrible.

Yeah I do like several times a year. The last time was a few days ago after my wife got done telling me how worthless she thinks I am because I don't work during the summer (even though I make triple her annual salary in 8 months) I'll never do it though so no worries.

It is almost strange to me that normal people don't consider suicide as even being an option. Like to me it's not even a big deal. I just feel like killing myself for a day or two then I get the fuck over it.

Acid would fry your nerve endings pretty quickly. It would suck but definitely not the worst. I was reading first hand accounts about people who survived overdose attempts by swallowing lots of pills. Some of those stories were pretty horrifying.

I think one of the worse ways to go is how parents leave their babies in cars with temperatures in the 100's....thats just terrible. I have a 2.5 year old Idk how people can be so dumb and forget their babies in a car.

I guess you can't die from Cluster Headaches, but those are described as a hot poker into the back of your eye - people commit suicide over cluster headaches.
