100 years ago, people also had like a 15+ years shorter lifespan, were much more malnourished and still dying from preventable diseases. Plus there's all that old medical info about the average age girls started to get their menses and they'd usually start in their mid to late teens instead of around 10. And ironically, what we'd call average build would have been considered curvaceous and attractive.

I'd say that most people carry their fat badly.

Some women certainly carry it better, especially if it goes to the thighs, butt, and boobs more so than stomach. But some dudes carry it better too, looking more "husky" than looking like a straight up blob. From a pure body stanpoint, someone like Mike Golic Jr is fat/overweight but wears it better due to being in sports all his life and lifting weights. He's still overweight though but looks a lot better than the fat guy that sits on his ass all day.

It's just downright fascinating that all these medical issues that make it impossible to be skinny are so prevalent in America, but like if you go to Europe or something, all of a sudden not everyone has glandular problems or thyroid problems or whatever.

We weren't talking specifically about thinner women though. We were talking about women in general, most of which are overweight at a minimum in the U.S.

And being petite in and of itself isn't necessarily attractive. The same way being skinny in and of itself isn't necessarily immediately equal being attractive for a man (muscles, even a little bit, almost always makes one look more attractive to the average person). Most dudes like boobs, ass, thighs, or a combination of the 3. Having any of those doesn't even require being fat.
