Still entertaining af.

Leaves me with hope for the future of the mcu since the standouts were all newbies, like antman, panther, and spidey.

IIRC, Bucky remembered who he was, so I doubt he'd have killed innocent cops. Although maybe he tried to do so in the movie and Steve stopped him, I don't remember.

It wasn't really infighting though. It was Iron Man and some others agreeing with a government law that Cap and some others didn't agree with and it was fine. They only fought because the government was going to use lethal force against Cap and the others which Iron Man was hoping to avoid.

I don't think he was trying to kill them, but he didn't really care if he did or not. iirc he threw one down the stairwell but cap saved him

the plot is one of the dumbest ive seen in a long time.

- govt reasonably asks the avengers to not fight until the UN gives them the OK since they basically destroyed an entire country in avengers 2

- Cap says "no, the governments of every nation in the UN could be Hydra and corrupt! only I know the real truth so I should not be bound by any laws!" which makes very little sense, even given the Winter Soldier movie, and this whole idea is kind of dropped after the movie's first act

- meanwhile some guy from Avengers 2 sets up this elaborate scheme that involves framing Winter Soldier with the assassination of Black Panther's father all with the intent of luring Tony Stark to a remote military facility in Siberia where he is shown about 15 seconds of a VHS tape. Zemo could have done this entire thing by just emailing Tony Stark the video clip and it would have had the same effect without making him into an international terrorist who killed a world leader that was entirely uninvolved in this conflict

- Cap realizes this very early, but decides "there is not enough time" to tell Tony Stark the truth about Bucky, even though he is literally about to embark on a 10 hour flight from the US to Russia and he could have just texted Tony "hey man, this is a setup, real enemy is the guy from Avengers 2" or something


Basically the whole movie is a nonsensical mess designed for one reason: to create that stupid airport fight scene. it was the first marvel movie where i felt like it was not only entirely reliant on watching older marvel movies, but also that existed to show people in cool outfits fighting rather than creating a plot around these people in cool outfits and incoporating fight scenes.
