There you have folks. This pathological liar likes to troll people by threatening to reveal fake news he can't even falsify properly.

What a joke.

I have been out of high school for (gasp!) 20 YEARS and studied electronics engineering yet I haven't forgotten history.

Your excuse is sorry and inadmisible.

And you're also a shitposter so no one cares what you think.

LOL Did he really say he studied electronic engineering? He told me he was a successful physician. That dweeb is a hoth tier pathological liar.

I never said I was a physician.

I am a physicist

Don't you know the fucking difference?

Or are you so spiteful you aren't working well today?

lol nice duck but it's another lie. I'm looking at the topic right now and it clearly says physician. Before I expose you let's have you recite the rest of your living conditions as well as the car you drove in that topic. Can you even keep up with what you've posted?

Real answer?

Its easy to look back on history and imagine that it was all predetermined from the start but people didn't view it that way at the time. Japan was at a massive disadvantage in industrial might compared to the US but so was Vietnam years later.

They didn't need to occupy our country to get what they wanted they just needed to push us to the point where we were willing to let them have their way in their corner of the globe. If they had taken out the carriers at Pearl Harbor or if they had managed to do it at Midway or some other battle (which was totally possible if the roll of the dice had favored them instead of us) then you can't really say with 100% certainty that the US would have just kept rebuilding again and again through multiple defeats.

Roll of the dice?

They lost their entire fleet at Midway - and we lost almost nothing. You're calling it a roll of the dice? You know what military historians call it?

Military historian John Keegan called it "the most stunning and decisive blow in the history of naval warfare.

Yeah, a real roll of the dice. Oh wait...

Face it - Japan got fucking smoked in WWII by America. Land and sea. Their tanks sucked dick, their guns were from WWI, all they had was a fanatic base of men that would run into bullets. It worked on China because their industry sucked ass.

The Americans gunned them down using crossfire tactics by the thousands. Bodies littered beaches at Guadalcanal and Tenaru.

The US lost 80 men at Tenaru; Japan lost 800. They fought like fucking bozos; they simply had conquered so much because all their wars up to that point were against pissant countries.

Not one body in the photo is of an American casualty.

i just dont understand why that would be a reason to declare war on the most powerful nation in the world, or even be involved in WW2 after WW1 was so destructive

Because America was already using its navy to interfere in Pacific affairs, and Japan needed an excuse to destroy their entire Hawaiian fleet.

It worked on China

It didn't. The war with China had reached a stalemate by late 1939, years before the US entered the war. Most people don't know this but the majority of IJA forces were in China during the war, not the Pacific.

pretty much none of those were critical strategic elements in the pacific war

i mean he's not being nice but he's right

WWII Pacific was basically CV warfare and the US not only won midway but was out-producing japan in CV groups 10:1

what is fair to say is midway was a roll of the dice (specifically: we spotted them before they spotted us)

what is not fair is to say that had midway been a US defeat we'd have lost significant ground in the war

one of the big discoveries of WWII was that practically any island sufficed as a naval resupply point

I mean, if he wants to say they lost the strategic initiative and most of their carrier fleet, then go ahead and say that because it's accurate. Just don't give me hyperbole and tell me it's accurate on a technicality.

Yeah we know that attack is suicidal. But japanese people always excel at this kind of activity (but not estimating the power of the enemy). I lived in what used to be dutch indies, so we kinda owe the US some gratitude for bombing japan so that we could regain our freedom. Thanks USA

lmao as I thought. You're a buffoon who can't even keep up with what you've posted and trying to flip back everything back to me like a child. You're the one that was terrified of posting a selfie despite saying women flocked to you. I told you to recite the state of your family and the car you drove before I expose you. Now you're just going to deflect because you forgot what bullshit you made up for that topic and you want to see what you said so you can try to keep your story straight. I'm not letting you do that, dweeb. Let's see if you can "remember" your details. Or are you unable to keep your many lies straight? And lmao this hour bullshit stolen straight from the biggest trolls here. I wasn't on, dweeb.
I give YOU one hour here to remember your statements before you're confirmed as an unashamed liar who couldn't remember his lies and tries to deflect his way out.

Sooooooo you admit you have NOTHING to back your crap up. Not surprising really.

"You are looking at the topic right now" yeah right. If you were you could easily show everyone I am lying but somehow I have to prove your claims are false.

That's not how it works partner.

Oh btw this dweeb blocks ppl when his feels are hurt.

What a child is this @Th3Truth that makes the pm inbox his safe space.

LMAO son I rekt you without even posting a screen cap.

Now you probably are going to start a multi topic meltdown flaming me and will delete them before I see them / you get modded like you did the last time.

I got your jimmies bro.

Basically, they got cocky.

To be fair, their blueprint for the war had already been used and succeeded in the Russo-Japanese War. Most European observers thought Japan was no match for Russia, but the Japanese mopped the floor with the Russians, at land and at sea, in spite of being outnumbered, because the Russian soldiers and sailors were poorly-trained, poorly-compensated, poorly-equipped, and, most of all, poorly-led.
Of course, even then, they were helped considerably by popular anger in Russia against the Tsar(mostly ignited by how he and his government were incompetent and nakedly authoritarian.) Tsar Nicholas II and his government; however, were already unpopular before the war.
By contrast, not only was the U.S. headed by an excellent(and fairly popular) president(FDR), but the U.S. army and navy were vastly more meritocratic than their Tsarist Russian-equivalents and boasted many talented and/or charismatic leaders. Plus, as the U.S. government was vastly more popular and democratic, American anger over the war was directed not at the U.S. government, but the Japanese.
