the 405 during rush hour is the worst

literally takes an hour to go 3 miles

I don't ever remember it being nearly that bad

Maybe it was just a bad day and fresh in my mind, but I had a drive from Irvine back down to SD and that stretch was (and usually is) the worst

Locals avoid driving on the strip. Those are all tourists from out of town

Boston is worse than NYC, but LA is the worst.

Boston is designed stupider since

uffaY

But traffic itself was worse in new York on my limited experience

Yeah any city that doesn't line their streets like a grid is fucking inexcusable

Although here in MN there are some places where both street directions (north to south vs east to west) are labeled as numbers. One time, a friend told me to meet at like the intersection of 5th and 12th (or something like that) and I ended up in the totally wrong place because there are two intersections of 5th and 12th.

Some small cities don't need to but the big ones all should.

LA has earthquakes all the time and some people there live in fear of a big earthquake hitting them someday so it makes sense that they wouldn't have a subway.

No one who's actually been in an earthquake fears earthquakes.

It would be dangerous to have a subway system in an area that constantly had earthquakes

Like Japan? Subways are some of the safest places to be during an earthquake. Why are uninformed people so opinionated?
