I'm not from that state but I looked it up. It's going from 3.75% to 4.95%. Which breaks down to about $1.50 per paycheck extra.

Opponents are probably using the 32% figure to make it seem astronomical.

What the fuck are you talking about? We've been spending a shit ton of money all around and it isn't fixing shit. There's too much spending and too much corruption in this fucking state. And the people that are upholding it are people like me that lose $30,000 or more per year to taxes.

I was looking at homes in Tinley Park Illinois where the tax total was around $6500-7000.

In comparison, I looked at similarly priced homes in South Bend where the taxes were around $1500-2080

What the fuck are you talking about? We've been spending too much on those things for decades. CPS costs $16,000 per student per year and barely half can read or do math at a grade-school level. Money was always thrown at these things.

We didn't have a budget because the fucking spenders wouldn't agree to cut anything.

The tax increase isn't even to gather money for something good...it's going to be used to pay back spending that was already done. What the flying fuck. Leftism, ladies and gentlemen.
