Seriously WTF has happened to this site? Ive been coming here since the very beginning and outside of the occasional LUE antics it has always been a pretty fun and chill place to be. Over the last few years im seeing an alarming amount of closet pedophiles pop up defending not only the depiction of sexually molesting underage characters in video games "because they arent real people" to downright defending pedophiles use of child sex dolls as long as its not a real child. This is not only disturbing but it is downright fucking disgusting that this garbage is tolerated on a site were children can come to discuss video games. Why is garbage like this tolerated here these days?

So thinking that someone shouldn't go to jail because of something in a video game makes one a pedophile?

The mods should take it upon themselves to keep an eye on certain individuals who post supportive comments towards pedophilia and maybe check out their PM history and alert their local authorities if they come across anything.

Honestly I couldnt agree more. My oldest daughter is now old enough to make an account on this site which is what bothers me the most about how this place is turning out.

1) we don't have the tools to do that. We can't view PMs unless they're reported, for example.
2) There are fewer than 60 mods... There are anywhere between two and four thousand users online at any given moment. How do you expect us to track users like that?
3) We don't know where you live. <_< Honestly, I think only Allen, Devin, and Zoop can even get that information...

I've seen the same shit. While I don't think anything video game related or fake should be treated similarly to actual people, it's definitely nasty as fuck.

I can't even enjoy 99% of SHMUPs anymore because they stopped being hardcore and cool looking and started being filled with underage Japanese girls and panty shots.

I believe pedophiles should have to surrender their bodies to science so we can study their brains and see what's different. It may be satisfying to lock one up or worse, but that doesn't erase the pain of the victims. We need to stop this problem at the source.

Tell me about it, TC. I argued against people on this very board that thought what Jared Fogle did was not a big deal.

Your bias is showing, he did not admit to no such thing. He admitted to having "indecent" material, which is increadible vague. It could be hand drawn pictures of children, 3D child porn, etc.

Just what are you trying to accomplish? Do you want to make GameFAQs pedophile free? Or do you want to keep kids safe?

If it's the latter, than it's worth having a discussion over what's "too far" for a pedophile. Obviously looking at real life child porn is a problem because someone has to produce it, but does say loli hentai give them a sense of satisfaction that they don't need to pry any further? Do the sex dolls really prevent potential attacks?

Sweeping pedophilia under the rug doesn't make them not exist. I remember there was a huge discussion where a psychologist who focused on sex offenders suggested that we expanded the gender orientations to include pedophilia. There was a good deal of outcry toward it. But my thought was that this is to help offenders from repeating and deter potential offenders which results in a safer community, safer for kids.

Killing pedophiles will not solve the problem. Pedophilia has always been and always will exist. Even if we kill off every pedophile in the world, they will resurface again years later.

What we need to do is focus on protecting the kids from them. Make them aware of pedophiles and teach to run away and call for help when a pedo make advances toward them. Most of the causes of child molestation was because the child had no idea what was going on.
