I don't have Prime currently and since I wasn't really in a big rush I went ahead and just paid for standard shipping instead of 2 day. That was last Friday night and it still hasn't even shipped yet and isn't expected to arrive until the 27th.
I can't even imagine how long it'd be if I had chose free shipping :/

Prime is so worth it if you use it as your primary source. I easily save a grand a year on shipping costs for $100, plus Prime Video isn't bad either.

I usually get packages a few days before schedule on standard shipping.

I always go with this and it's never taken more than 2 weeks though I guess that'd be considered a really long time depending on the person

I just moved to Alaska and they don't do 2 day shipping here. You can still do free Prime shipping but it's like a week

That doesn't surprise me too much, that's good you still do get an option. Is the price the same for Prime, or is it less because it takes longer?

I'm always conflicted on Amazon Prime. I don't order enough from it to really use prime but on the other hand, not having prime is what's stopping me from really using Amazon.

Living in a warehouse city with Prime is the best. Same day shipping all day

It never takes more than a week to get something when I order with free shipping, usually 4 or 5 days is normal.

It probably helps that there's an Amazon warehouse about 45 minutes away though.

It's not about whether or not you have free two day shipping with Prime, that only works on sellers that are also Prime.

If a seller is Prime, and the buyer is prime, you will get it in two days. If the seller is Prime, and the buyer is not, it's usually 4-5 days.

If the seller is not Prime, it doesn't matter if you pay for the service or not, you have to read on the sellers site when they will ship the item. It could be 2 days, it could be 2 months from now. Even with a Prime membership and free 2 day shipping, if you buy something from a seller that is not Prime, it still might not ship for weeks, but when it does, it'll ship 2nd day air.

That's why a seller with the Prime logo/icon is at a premium. Because you know you can get it quick, whether or not you have a Prime membership.

Don't forget that meaty 20% discount on all new games.

If you purchase 8 games in a single year, Amazon Prime pays for itself right there. And that's not including the 2-day shipping and Prime Video and other shit.

It still hasn't shipped yet so I guess all I can hope is that it does on Monday and only takes a few days to get here but Jesus.

I only got Prime for the 20% discount because only one of the games I've ordered ever since they rolled out the discount actually offers release date delivery. Everything else arrives a week after release despite me living in the same city as a warehouse.
