Totally down with lettuce, and while we're at it, mayonnaise on a burger. Definitely not ok with cheese or tomatoes, though. Weird af, I know.

You and I are now mortal enemies.

I hate shredded lettuce on a burger. It's always piled on to fill space and accomplishes nothing.

Leaf erryday.

Can't stand lettuce. Rather have baby spinach instead; has flavor and isn't just water filler.

Lettuce, tomato, and onion are the most common things on a burger in the USA besides cheese and bacon, seems like your info is wrong topic creator.

There's different kinds of lettuce. v_v It's iceberg lettuce that holds no nutrition. Shit like romaine, spinach, kale are great.

Since when are spinach and kale considered lettuce? They're leafy greens / cabbage
Like, y'know, what @cerealbox760 meant when he said to get a new source of veggies

You can pretty much sub anything that calls for lettuce with them tho (and improve it)

Whole leaves makes everything messier. When the whole lettuce gets soggy from the condiments, it's almost impossible to bite it apart. So many time I take a bite and the lettuce drags all the condiments out of the burger and onto my shirt.

^ ^ literally what. If anything it's tiny little pieces aka shredded lettuce that would cause a mess making. I don't understand how you could say that.

Shredded lettuce doesn't get pulled out of the burger (and everything else with it) just because you couldn't bite all the way through it (a shred or two falling out doesn't count against shredded lettuce as those bits tend to be condiment-free). Whole leaf lettuce is very difficult to bite or tear apart once it gets soggy. Just think about it and the answer quickly become clear as to why some might prefer shredded over whole. I mean, just look at the Big Mac: it uses shredded lettuce and hardly anyone ever complains about it making any sort of mess.

I usually keep my meat and vegetables separated unless it's like a salad or something. Burgers, tacos, etc, for all that stuff I only use meat, cheese, and condiments

I kinda wonder this too.

I don't go iut of my way to add lettuce but I like it if it's there. I also don't go out of my way to add cheese, but again, I like it if it's there.

Cheese is comically overrated in general.

But I do go out of my way for a lot of toppings, such as ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions, bacon anf barbecue sauce. Not all at once, mind.
