a certain subset of feminist writers feel that men have been empowered 'enough' and any powerful man in media is just something in the way of equality and needs to be torn down

these writers are the feminist equivalent of sean hannity and rush limbaugh. every group has their nuts.

Ok. I read the whole article and it was seriously terrible. It's rad-fem drivel from an author whose preferred interpretation of Wonder Woman is this:

v1fvO3s

And no, this isn't an exaggeration. Take a look at these quotes:

any hopes that Wonder Woman will sustain its appealing misandry are soon dashed.

I wished only for Diana to return to the literal no man’s land where she was reared.

yep

i definitely lump authors like her with her equivalent right-wing nuts

remember that she has way less power and influence than hannity/limbaugh who have national audiences in the millions

her article is mostly being linked to by people laughing at her

That is a bad article. No one should willing revel in misandry or misogyny. If someone openly admits to liking those things, it's a good clue the person should be ignored.

Thankfully, the article is by a nobody and will be read by very few.

This is just another example for Anti-feminists to cite when feminists try to persuade them feminism doesn't have an anti-male lean to it.

If she wants to promote feminism, her article isn't doing herself any favors. If she just wants to hate on men, then I guess there's that.

Assuming it's not a hoax article.

It's not just an article, it's a review, one of the (currently 7) negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

Last night I was looking at the negative reviews (because my girlfriend thinks that negative reviews might be men who are angry about a female lead...we have long debates about that stuff) and I saw a negative review by a woman, so I clicked it and saw the title "Despite Some Appealing Misandry, Wonder Woman Can’t Avoid A Mansplaining", and I just facepalmed so hard.

Does that critic have any positive reviews of any movie?

And this writer is such a nutball:

The movie did not have enough hatred of men for her taste.
